General Appearance / Wyglad ogólny 

Appears as a dog of great beauty, standing with impassive dignity, with no part out of proportion to the whole.

Collie rough prezentuje się jako pies o niezwykłej urodzie i niezachwianej godności, a żaden z jego elementów budowy nie jest w dysproporcji do całości.

 

Characteristics / Właściwości 

Physical structure should be on the lines of strength and activity, free from cloddiness and without any trace of coarseness in order to fulfill a natural bent for sheepdag work. Expression, one of the most important points in considering relative values, is obtained by the perfect balance and combination of skull and foreface size, shape, colour and placement of eye, correct position and carriage of ears.

Budowa fizyczna powinna odzwierciedlać siłę i witalność, powinna być wolna od ociężałości, niedelikatności. Ekspresja collie, jeden z najważniejszych elementów wzorca, jest osiągana przez idealne połączenie i zrównoważenie rozmiaru czaszki i kufy, przez kolor i umiejscowienie oczu oraz przez umiejscowienie i sposób noszenia uszu.

 

Temperament / Zachowanie 

Friendly disposition with no trace of nervousness or aggressiveness.

Collie ma być psem przyjacielsko nastawionym do otoczenia, bez żadnych oznak nerwowości lub agresywności.

 

Head and Skull / Głowa i czaszka 

The head properties are of great importance and must be considered in proportion to the size of the dog. When viewed from front or side, the head resembles a well-blunted, clean wedge, being smooth in outline. Skull flat, the sides should taper gradually and smoothly from the ears to the end of the black nose, without prominent cheek- bones or pinched muzzle. Viewed in profile, the top of the skull and the top of the muzzle lie in two parallel, straight lines of equal length, divided by a slight but perceptible , 'stop' or break. A mid-point between the inside corners of the eyes (which is the centre of the correctly placed , 'stop'), is the centre of balance in the length of head. The end of the smooth, well-rounded muzzle is blunt, never square. The underjaw is strong, clean-cut and the depth of the skull, from the brow to the underpart of the jaw, must never be excessive (deep through). Whatever the colour of the dog, the nose must be black.

 

Głowa u collie jest niezmiernie ważna i musi być rozpatrywana w odniesieniu do wielkości psa. Oglądana od przodu lub z boku powinna przypominać dobrze stępiony, kształtny klin o gładkich krawędziach. Czaszka płaska, jej boki powinny zwężać się stopniowo począwszy od uszu aż do końca czarnego nosa, bez wystających kości policzkowych lub ściągniętej kufy. Patrząc z profilu wierzch czaszki i wierzch kufy leżą  na dwóch równoległych względem siebie liniach równej długości, oddzielonych od siebie delikatnym ale zauważalnym „stopem” lub przełomem. Środkowy punkt pomiędzy wewnętrznymi kącikami oczu (który jest środkiem prawidłowo umiejscowionego stopu) jest środkowym punktem głowy. Koniec gładkiej, dobrze zaokrąglonej kufy jest zakończony tępo, nigdy kanciasto. Żuchwa jest silna, gładko zakończona a głębokość czaszki mierzona od brwi do dna żuchwy nigdy nie może być zbyt głęboka. Bez względu na to, jaki jest kolor psa, nos zawsze musi być czarny.

 

Eyes / Oczy 

These are a very important feature and give a sweet expression to the dog. They should be of medium size (never very small), set somewhat  obliquely, of almond shape and of dark-brown colour, except in the case of blue merles when the eyes (one or both, or part of one or both), are frequently blue or blue flecked. Expression full of intelligence, with a quick alert look when listening.

Oczy są niezmiernie ważna cechą i to one nadają psu wyraz pełen słodyczy. Powinny być one średniej wielkości (nigdy nie nazbyt małe), osadzone w pewnym stopniu ukośnie, migdałowego kształtu i  ciemnobrązowego koloru, z wyjątkiem osobników maści blue-merle kiedy to oczy (jedno lub obydwa lub część jednego lub obydwu) są często błękitne lub nakrapiane błękitem. Ich ekspresja powinna odzwierciedlać inteligencje zwierzęcia, a spojrzenia przy nadsłuchiwaniu powinny być bystre i pełne gotowości.

 

Ears / Uszy

These should be small and not too close together on top of the skull, nor too far apart. When in repose, they should be carried thrown back, but, when on the alert, brought forward and carried semi-erect, that is, with approximately two-thirds of the ear standing erect, the top third tipping forward naturally, below the horizontal.

Uszy powinny być niewielkie i osadzone na szczycie czaszki ani niezbyt blisko siebie ani zbyt daleko. W stanie wypoczynku powinny być skierowane do tyłu, podczas gdy w stanie napięcia powinny być ściągane naprzód i noszone na wpół wyprostowane, tzn. około 2/3 ucha powinna stać pionowo a końcowa 1/3 ucha powinna przechylać się naprzód, poniżej linii horyzontu (tzn. w dół)  

 

Mouth / Pysk

The teeth should be of good size, with scissor bite.

Czyli: zęby dobrej wielkości (proporcjonalne, dobrej wielkości w stosunku co do szczęki).

Szczęki mocne, z idealnym zgryzem nożycowym, gdzie zaokrąglenie szczęk jest regularne, kształtne i gdzie wszystkie siekacze ułożone są względem siebie nożycowo,  tzn. górne zęby mają blisko okalać zęby dolne i być osadzone prostopadle do żuchwy.

 

Neck / Szuja

The neck should be muscular, powerful, of fair length and well arched.

Szyja powinna być muskularna, silna, o odpowiedniej długości i dobrze wysklepiona.  

 

Forequarters/ Front

The shoulder should be sloped and well angulated. The forelegs should be straight and muscular, neither in nor out at elbows, with a moderate amount of bone.

Łopatka powinna być ukośna i dobrze kątowana. Przednie łapy powinny być proste i dobrze umięśnione, z łokciami nie skierowanymi ani za zewnątrz ani do środka, o okrągłych kościach umiarkowanej mocy.

 

Body / Tułów

The body should be slightly long compared to height, back firm with a slight rise over the loins; ribs well sprung, chest deep and fairly broad behind the shoulders.

Sylwetka collie powinna być nieco dłuższa niż jego wysokość w kłębie, grzbiet mocny, lekko wzniesiony na wysokości lędźwi; żebra odpowiednio wygięte, klatka piersiowo głęboka i odpowiednio szeroka za ramionami.  

 

Hindquarters / Zad

The hind legs should be muscular at the thighs, clean and sinewy below, with well-bent stifles. Hocks well let down and powerful.

Uda na tylnych łapach powinny być muskularne. Idąc w dół powinny one przechodzić w  foremne, żylaste podudzie. Staw kolanowy odpowiednio kątowany. Silne stawy skokowe umiejscowione nisko.  

 

Feet / Łapy

These should be oval in shape with soles well padded, toes arched and close together. The hind feet slightly less arched.

Stopy powinny być owalne, z mocnymi poduszkami; palce wysklepione i blisko siebie. Stopy na tylnych łapach trochę mniej wysklepione

 

Tail / Ogon

The tail should be long with the bone reaching at least to the hock joint. To be carried low when the dog is quiet, with a slight upward swirl at the tip. It may be carried gaily when the dog is excited, but not over the back.

Ogon powinien być długi i ostatnim kręgiem sięgać co najmniej do stawu skokowego. Gdy pies jest uspokojony powinien być noszony nisko, z lekką „fajką” na końcu. Może być noszony radośnie gdy pies jest podekscytowany, ale nie nad grzbietem.

 

Gait/Movement / Ruch

Movement is a distinct characteristic of this breed. A sound dog is never out at elbow, yet it . moves with its front feet comparatively close together. Plaiting, crossing or rolling are highly undesirable . The hind legs, from the hock joint to the ground, when viewed from the rear should be parallel but not too close. When viewed from the side the action is smooth. The hind legs should be powerful with plenty of drive. A reasonably long stride is desirable and this should be light and appear quite effortless.

 

Ruch to cecha która u collie zasługuje na wyróżnienie. Prawidłowo zbudowany pies nigdy nie będzie mieć odstających łokci, nawet jeśli w ruchu jego przednie łapy –co jest charakterystyczne dla tej rasy- zbiegają się ku sobie stosunkowo blisko. Przeplatanie, krzyżowanie lub kołysanie się w ruchu są wysoce niepożądane. Tylne łapy (oglądane od tyłu) od stawu skokowego aż do ziemi powinny być równoległe względem siebie ale niezbyt bliskie. Oglądana z boku praca łap powinna być gładka/sprawna.  Tylne łapy powinny być silne, powinny stanowić napęd psa. Pożądany jest również stosunkowo długi kłus/wykrok, sprawiający wrażenie lekkiego i nie wymagającego większego wysiłku.

 

Coat / Szata 

Fits the outline of the dog's body, very dense. The outer coat straight and harsh to the touch, the undercoat soft, furry and very close, almost hiding the skin; the mane and frill should be very abundant, the mask and face smooth, the ears smooth at tips, but carrying more hair towards the base; the front legs well feathered, the hind legs above the hocks profusely feathered but smooth below. Hair on the tail very profuse.

Szata ma być dopasowana do ogólnego kształtu ciała, bardzo gęsta, zwarta. Włos okrywowy prosty i szorstki w dotyku, podszerstek miękki, futrzasty, prawie całkowicie skrywający skórę; grzywa i żabot powinny być bardzo obfite, bogate, kufa i pysk gładkie (krótkowłose), uszy gładkie na końcach, ale obrośnięte  bardziej idąc w kierunku ich umiejscowienia; przednie łapy należycie „opierzone” (obrośnięte), tylne łapy nad stawem skokowym obficie obrośnięte, poniżej gładkie. Włosy na ogonie bardzo obfite.
 

Colour / Kolor 

There are three recognised colours: sable and white, tricolour and blue merle.

 Sable : Any shade from light gold to rich mahogany or shaded sable. Light straw or cream colour is highly undesirable.

Ch. Yours Truly of Wizard's Castle (FCI)

Tricolour : Predominantly black with rich tan markings about the legs and head. A rusty tinge on the top coat highly undesirable.

Ch. Aicha of Wizard's castle (FCI)

Blue merle : Predominantly clear, silvery blue, splashed and marbled with black. Rich tan markings preferred, butabsence should not be penalised. Large black markings, slate colour, or a rusty tinge either of the top or undercoat are highly undesirable.

Stokedale Spice Girl

White markings : All above should carry the typical white Collie markings to a greater or lesser degree. Following markings are favourable - white collar, full or part; white shirt, legs and feet; white tail tip. A blaze may be carried on muzzle or skull or both.

 

Są trzy uznawane kolory: Śniady z białym, Tricolor i Marmurkowy.
Śniady: wszystkie odcienie śniadego od jasnego złota do głęboko mahoniowego (genotyp a(y)a(y) ) lub śniady przyciemniany (genotyp a(y)a(t) ). Kolor jasno słomkowy lub kremowy jest wielce niepożądany.
Tricolor: dominującym kolorem jest czarny z intensywnym podpalaniem na łapach i głowie. Rdzawy nalot po wierzchu okrywy włosowej wielce niepożądany (genotyp a(t)a(t) ).
Blue merle: dominującym jest czysty, srebrzyście szary kolor, nakrapiany, jakby marmurkowy, z czarnym. Intensywne podpalanie preferowane, ale jego brak nie powinien być karany. Duże czarne znaczenia, ciemnoszary (łupkowy) kolor lub rdzawy nalot na powierzchni włosa lub w podszerstku są wielce niepożądane.

Białe znaczenia: wszystkie wymienione wyżej kolory powinny w mniejszym lub większym stopniu nosić typowe dla Collie białe znaczenia. Następujące znaczenia są mile widziane: biały kołnierz – pełen lub częściowy, biały żabot, łapy i stopy; biały koniuszek ogona. Gwiazdka może pojawić się na kufie lub na głowie, lub na obydwu.  

 

Size / Wzrost 

Dogs 56-61cm (22-24 ins) at shoulder.

Bitches 51-56cm (20-22 ins).

Wysokość psa mierzona  w kłębie 56-61 cm (22-24 cale)

Wysokość suki mierzona w kłębie 51-56 cm (20-22 cale )

 

Faults / Wady

Any departure from the foregoing points should be considered a fault and the seriousness with which the fault is regarded should be in exact proportion to its degree.

Każde odstępstwo od wymienionych punktów powinno być rozpatrywane jako wada a siła napiętnowania danej wady powinna być relatywna do jej stopnia.

 

Note/Uwaga

Male animals should have two apparently normal testicles descended into the scrotum.

Samce powinny mieć w mosznie dwa jądra, wyraźnie prawidłowe (tzn. bez wyczuwalnych zmian).
